Hi There!

Owner of a new Canon M50 MKII (came out this month).  Having trouble importing the RAW .CR3 files into Lightroom (both CC and Classic) produced by the body.  Recieving the error: "files appear to be unsupported or damaged".  Files show up fine in Windows Documents.  Tried taking RAW photos on 3 different memory cards with the M50 MKII, so nothing wrong with the card.  Have no trouble importing .CR3 files from my Canon M6 MKII into Lightroom.  Wondering if because the M50 MKII is such a new camera, the .CR3 files it produces are yet to be supported by Adobe?  Also tried to convert the .CR3 files to .DNG with Adobe's DNG Converter, which too said that the files being produced by the M50 MKII were unsupported (files from my M6 MKII convert just fine).

Thanks for any help one might be able to provide!!

Yes, A new camera, the modified CR3 file,  not yet supported in Lightroom (or in the DNG Converter) accordin to this link.

https://helpx.adobe.com/camera-raw/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

"Windows Documents" are showing you the embedded JPG preview within the CR3 file, and not the 'raw' image data.

Until Adobe provides an update (unknown when) you could use Canon software to edit the raws (as TIFs), or shoot 'Raw+JPG' and use the JPGs temporarily.

Regards. My System: Lightroom-Classic 13.2 Photoshop 25.5, ACR 16.2, Lightroom 7.2, Lr-iOS 9.0.1, Bridge 14.0.2, Windows-11.
