unable to download raw files from fuji x 100 v

I just bought a Fujifilm X 100 V to replace my Fujifilm X 100 S that I've been using since I started using lightroom a number of years ago. I can not access the raw files on my new camera. What step am I forgetting?

You need Lr3.1 (cloud version) or LrC9.1 or later.

Can you explain why? My LR works perfectly. I have no interest in a cloud version. What's LrC9, anyhow?

LrC = Lightroom Classic. The. Current version is 9.3

Why do I need to update my version of lightroom? I'm happy with what I have.

If your software is older than your camera your raw files will not be recognized.

To continue using an older version of Lightroom you can batch convert a whole folder of Fuji raw files. Then import the DNGs into Lightroom. Use one of these download links:
