Using Lightroom for a large amount of pictures offline to regognize people

Since i have not used Lightroom for a while and switches my computer i needed to install LR all over again. There is a large amount of pictures in my collection (around 350GB) and i used to operate with the feature to regognize people. In this new version only pictures that are uploaded to the cloud are regognized. Is there a way to use this feature offline?
