Using the keyboard

I watched a tutorial, and in the tutorial the woman used her keyboard to move the sliders ( Exposure, Contrast, Whites)  instead of using the trackpad or mouse. How do I do this?

If you place your cursor on the centre point for the slider it should illuminate (highlight) and you can use the up and down arrow keys to make adjustments. Some find this more precise than moving the slider. Or simply place your cursor on the word exposure and use the same arrow keys. You can then instantly reset to zero if required.
