Are you using AMS 5.0.5 and later on AWS?

If yes, then you can do that by by doing

% sudo vi /opt/adobe/ams/conf/ams.ini

Well then you should try to recall what password you set when you first logged in into the AMI instance?

if you have for gotten the password and you have not done anything with instance, you should terminate and instantiate a new instance...It surely will cost you a few dollors depending on how long this instance has been up, but i think that is is worth while, given t hat you will pay more while you investigate and try to find out your lost password.

Yes amsadmin password...Note that you use ssh keys to login using amsadmin ...Login process on the instance is not password driven. However the first time you login you will be asked to set the password for amsamdin user. Please read Adobe help documents..This is all explained in help docs.

the sudo command in Linux will require the user account (SSH) password, which may not necessarily be the same as the AMS admin console password.

i am not sure how Amazon deals with that, but this is just to clarify which password to use in sudo.

Good luck!
