Hi,

I have fms 4.5 on linux.

When I access http://fmsip/ it shows the startup page and i can play the sample files.

When I access the page in ipad and iPhone, hls-vod files are also working OK. If I visit http://fmsip/hls-vod/sample1_1500kbps.f4v.m3u8 it is playing on ipad and iphone as well.

When i stream live to rtmp://fmsip/livepkgr with stream name livestream?adbe-live-event=liveevent I can view the video on my flash player

My problemis the live hls. I can't play http://fmsip/hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.m3u8

I tried this suggestion

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/966720

or better said, "I tried". I said I tried because the folders and files that is mentioned in that url is not existing on my server.

I use Admin console and I can see the streams are successful because as I have said, I can view it using flash player.

This is a fresh install of FMS 4.5

Is there a possibility that livepkgr is not working while the stream is playable in flash player?

Any suggestion how to troubleshoot this?

Thanks

It's OK now.

My fms update installer is bad. I use the latest trial and upgrade with the license key and everything went OK.

In Chrome or Firefox Browser it downloads the file but when i access

http://fmsip/hls-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent/livestream.m3u8

with the iPad i get the message:

The requested URL /his-live/livepkgr/_definst_/liveevent.m3u8 was not found on this server.

Can you tell me which codecs are you using when you are publishing?

as specified here

http://forums.adobe.com/thread/966720

Video: H.264 , Baseline 3.0 , Keyframe Frequency:4 , Frame rate: 29.97

Audio: AAC or HE-AAC | Bit rate: 40 | Sampling rate: 22.05 KHzs | Stereo

It looks like livepkgr is not creating streams for hls. Is there any way to test it or verify it?

additionally... in this steps according to the url...

2. Delete "streams" folder under "livepkgr" - I don't have this folder on my server

3. Delete any .stream files created in "livepkgr/events/_definst_/liveevent" - I don't have .stream files in this folder
