Can't upload a Poser-exported figure without texture problems

SOS. I have not used Mixamo since Adobe took it over. BUT now I got problems. So..
I want to take a Poser character, exported as an appropriate format and upload to mixamo to apply a simple one of their animations., then download as an appripriate format and load into Cinema4D. Nightmare city .
I've tried exporting the figure (M4) as FBX and obj, but the FBX comes in with mangled textures and the obj comes in with no textures. I addition, the pants on the character do not move with the figure.
Can any clever soul tell me the correct workflow to achieve my aims?
best regards, David

Cinema4D is older solfware that only likes around 20,000 or less so this poser model (i don't know any called M4) will need to be 20k or less polly
fbx being busted = you used a non standard ... for c4d you normally want v6 or perhaps v7
obj having no textures = you made it incorrect
it sounds like this model is a miss mess of file types... i would open it in Blender and convert it to a standard Fbx or wavefront Obj

Ussnorway,
You have completely mis-read and mis-interpreted my post. (Details below).
1. The post is about a Poser-exported model. Your comment about C4Dand 20K is therefore not relevant.
2. For anyone who knows Poser, M4 is an abbreviation of Michael version 4. M4 is a DAZ character compatible with Poser. The post is about getting this figure into Mixamo, which I did not create. Ergo your comment "you made it incorrect" is itself incorrect.
3. The model is not "a mess of file types" Where on Earth did you deduce that?
4. "you used a non-standard FBX". A helpful reply would have been "Mixamo reads correctly FBX files with the following type: 2021 version 12.3, or some such designation. I could then follow up with Poser, to check the FBX version it exports. Ergo, your remark is worthless.
5. The post is about Poser, not C4D. I mentioned C4D as it is part of my workflow., which is used AFTER using Mixamo to animate the figure.
6. I used the same workflow 12 years ago as I did a couple of days ago, and it did not then mess up the textures. This was before Adobe took over Mixamo.
7. Your suggestion to use Blender as a possible fix is a good one. I will try that.
Overall, I found the tone of your post hectoring, which is inappropriate in this or any other forum. I trust the moderators will review your post and take appropriate action.
regards, David
