I understand this has been asked a lot but really have no idea why the model below can't be rigged. Appreciate some help and guidance.

well because its not Human, its not in Tpose and that tail acts as a leg are the main reasons

Try scaling by 10x or so. The markers look really big compared to the human preview. If the model is too small then the weight solver will have a hard time painting the weights, even if there are enough polys.

But the model is already quite big. I just don't understand why it appears small after uploading in Mixamo. In fact initially the model was small and I make it big abit but it doesn't show any difference in the display when I want to place markers
