IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Support for Adobe Muse ends today

Based on the announcement in March 2018, support for Adobe Muse ends today. In line with this announcement, there will be no phone or chat support for Adobe Muse. This forum will remain open for user to user interactions but will have no employee presence or support.

 

For those of you that are still subscribed, you can continue using Muse. You will be able to open and edit existing websites or create new websites with the application. However, it is likely that future changes to web standards and browser technology will render Muse obsolete for website building and editing.

As of July 31, 2020 sites published using Adobe Muse will  no longer be editable using the Adobe In-Browser editing solution.

 

Sites hosted on Business Catalyst will have to be republished to another hosting platform to remain live after September 26, 2021, when Business Catalyst hosting is no longer available. For more details, see the Business Catalyst announcement page.

The article on Muse EOL has been updated to provide clarity around the policy https://helpx.adobe.com/muse/kb/adobe-muse-end-of-service.html

 

Just to be sure, there has been no change to the policy itself.  

 

To summarize the article:

 

  • Singe app license holders must migrate to the CC all apps plan to continue using Adobe Muse.

I'm sorry to say there is no direct migration path to any other similar program.

It's a question often asked here and I wish there was a solution.

Hello Preran,
thanks for your comments. I have had Adobe Muse as a single subscription since 2014. Since 27.03.20 I have the same problem as the other Muse users. My question: can I continue to work with Adobe Muse (2020, 2021 ..) or do I have to subscribe to CC subscriptions? 2 months ago I wanted to subscribe to Adobe CC but I should quit Muse loudly at Adobe Auskunft / Support !! What should I do now? I ask you for help! Thank you, Alexander Onufszak

This forum will probably not being taken care of by any Adobe staff member - if you are lucky, I ask Preran (https://community.adobe.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/10532889), if he can shed some clear light on this. Let me also add, that in my experience, since Muse is under EOL, it was mentioned several times at least in this forum, that using Muse needs a full CC-subscription.

That might be no help, I know …

As of this reading I only know about one app, that is able to let you edit a website, done with Muse (and published, of course - exported as html would also work, but this was not the main route to take with Muse, so …), named Pinegrow. You can see all elements but of course the appearance is totally different to Muse - it´s called "Code" and needs quite a learning curve … ! Dw might be able to do so as well but my experience with Dw is far too little.

Let me also add that IBE is still working at least on Macs. Some Windows machines have had issues since the last two months or so.

the problem is we were told all along that muse would be usable even if discontinued. I use muse to update my own website & now can't even access it. 
yes I will have to learn a new web design program but I invested a lot of time & money in muse & was told consistently that we could carry on using it.

La seule solution est de souscrire à l'abonnement de toute la suite créative cloud.

Hier j'étais dans la panique car j'étais dans la même situation que toi. À force de lire les questions/réponses sur le forum j'ai crû comprendre que Muse, à partir de maintenant, ne marcherait que si on disposait de la suite complète. Ce matin j'ai testé sur mon compte Adobe pro et effectivement ça marche. Ça n'a pas été symple de trouver le logiciel. Il a fallu que je tombe sur des anciennes pages qui contenaient le lien vers le téléchargement mais à force de chercher j'y suis arrivé.

En tous les cas je te confirme que si tu veux que ça marche il faut souscrire à un abonnement complet... Chose que je trouve indécente de la part d'Adobe

Merci Enrico pour ta réponse, je vais tester cette solution, de mon coté je bossais avec les logiciels affinity pour le traitement d'image et pour plein de trucs, largement suffisant pour ce que je fais et évidemment bien moins cher que la suite Adobe on paye une fois 60 € et le logiciel est a nous. Là ce qu'ils font chez adobe c'est vraiment pas cool ils nous forcent la main je prend ça pour une forme de racket à l'américaine. C'est du banditisme...
