Accordion menu with submenus - issue with breakpoints

I am trying to create an accordion menu for my mobile site. On my master page, I have an accordion set to 100% browser width. It has one panel, inside which is a second accordion which is my menu: the accordion tabs are the main menu items, and I've added buttons to each panel for the submenu items. This all works fine on the master page.

When I create a main page with the master applied, it works fine there too -- until I add a breakpoint to that page. Then, the menu breaks: second accordion shifts rightwards.

See example here.

Any ideas what's causing this, or how i can fix it?

I am not sure if that is the correct way of using breakpoints.

What happens when you define your breakpoints, add your menu, resize the menu for each breakpoint, and then apply it to your pages?

Thanks,
