Accordion shifting object above? (and below)

So for the first time I'm experience an accordion widget shifting an object above it as it animates between the two panels in it.  Once the transition completes the object in question sits in its original position, but the effect of it 'bouncing' is rather distracting and messy.

It's also slightly shifting objects below it even though the start and end sizes are the same.

Has anyone experienced this? Know what might be causing it?
