Adding a PDF as a hyperlink

I am very new to this and having what I think is a simple problem. Trying to add a PDF as a Link to a word on the web page. I Highlight the word go to add or filter links and select link to File, Select the file. The word underscores and Changes color as expected. When I try to test the link I go to preview, click the word and nothing happens. What am I missing.

The steps you took should work, does the browser that you are previewing the site have an enabled PDF viewer plugin?

Previewing in MUSE not in a browser. The browser I use does open PDF's.

It´s much better to preview in the browser than to just click the preview button in Muse.

Works in that preview mode, Will test links this way from no on. Thanks for the help.

What exactly does it mean: Nothing happens?

Maybe something is covering your word?

Like Jeffrey wrote, it should work.
