Adding pages to published muse site

Hello,

I've started working with a new client who's site was created in Muse. I didn't do it, but I did my own site in Muse so I'm well aware of the ending support, and in-browser editing capabilities.

We will be transitioning this client's site soon. In the interim, they're wanting to add a new section (i.e. pages).

Since that can't be done using in-browser editing, the only thing I can think of is to do this via the original .muse file. Can you do that and re-publish the site without messing anything up?

What concerns do you have?

Is the remote site backed up?

Yes, you can do this. Muse is/was built for that! Regular updating published sites with Muse is a very common and normal procedure.

If the original site is very(!) old, there might(!) be some issues with pinning, because pinning logic was modified with the last 2, 3 regular updates. But this risk is minimal, I never encountered problems, even when updating very old sites). My first Muse site was started with the first beta 2010/11, was continuously updated and is still live without any issues.
