I wonder if this is possible. I have a customer who wants animation on some buttons. When you rollover the button, there will be an animation (GIF?) where the button is. Is this possible?

Yes, in some ways it is possible: Fill the different states with different images or position an image differently per state, using the positioning dot grid in the“Fill“ panel. Use the „Transition“ settings in the „States“ panel. Use an animated gif in hover state. Or use a combination of both.

Keep in mind that touch screen devices don't have a mouse so hover is not going to be much use to mobile devices.   Tap  or click is safer to use these days.
