I have seen a few questions about this, but haven't seen an answer.
I was able to open my file yesterday, but today I get the attached message.
Here is the link to my file: Dropbox - Champion Striking.muse
Hi,
So here is the issue, It seems like you have any encryption or antivirus software in your system.
And you might be working on an external hard drive or a shared location.
While working on the file the antivirus started scanning the hard drive which locked the .muse file at that moment making it encrypted.
There might be a possibility that there is a kind of database corruption in the backend.
Could you please remember the last few steps prior encountering this issue?
It will help us better underst

For me, your file has nothing of a Muse file. It seems to be totally corrupted.
Perhaps someone of the Muse team should have a look at it.

I also tried it in both Muse 2017.1 and Prerelease and I got the same warning.
What did you do with your muse file?
Could be only done by Muse Coders like Sanjit_Das?
Best Regards,
Uwe

Thank you both. I will see if the coders can help me. I hate to lose all that work.

I thought I did, but I evidently hadn't saved the latest version in both places. Completely my fault. At least I won't have to completely start over though and it has most of the basic design.

Hey gingerm,
Many apologies to see you in this trouble, somehow this thread got missed from my sight.
However, I have sent your file to our product team so that they can look out for any possibility of repairing it.
Even if you have started working with the last backup of your file, this will be helpful for us to avoid any such future crashes.
Regards,
Ankush

Hey,
It looks like the file which you shared is password protected.
Could you please share a version of the file which is not password protected?

Hi,
Yes, it is still showing as password protected.
Try saving it with a new name at a new location and resend the file.

Hopefully this will get it. I have it marked so that anyone with the link should be able to open it.

We are still unable to access your file, as it still says as password protected.
Looks like you might have locked it via some Data Base browser app, and therefore even the properties of your .muse file got changed which caused the issue.
At our, end your file is showing as a database file. In case you remember the password for this file it can be unlocked by you.
Thanks,
Ankush

That is so strange. I never set it up to be password protected.
Thank you for trying!

I had actually saved it the night before and had published to business catalyst. I didn't do any other work on it at the time, but did try to save it onto a flash drive. When I went to open it later (on my desktop) to make changes for the client, I kept getting the error message. Then when I opened the flash drive to see if it was backed up there, it doesn't even show up on the flash drive at all.
