Hi,

I use gandhi host with sftp and when my client try to update the website i have " Your FTP server has encountered an unknown error during this operation. " with right username and password.

Where is the problem ? thanks

You have n right to access your site on your domain.

Seems, this is the same issue as the fact, that you can’t access it via InbrowserEditing.

This is not a Muse issue. You should contact your provider.

You have n right to access your site on your domain.

Seems, this is the same issue as the fact, that you can’t access it via InbrowserEditing.

This is not a Muse issue. You should contact your provider.

Have never heard of this, when the username and password is correct. You may ask: gandhi host?

Maybe your client has to ask gandhi host?

What exactly are you talking about? You wrote:

Your client wants to update and you have the error message?

And: What do you mean with „update“?

  • Exporting a new version of the site via Muse?
  • Exporting a new version of the site using an FTP application?
  • InBrowserEditing?

If you are talking about the last point: You have used system fonts, which necessarily have to be converted to an image during output. You will run into problems, if you client tries to edit the text, but hasn‘t these fonts installed.

Are you able to publish via Muse? If so, you normally get a message, that there might be some changes to be merged.

We are not sure, I guess, where to start. Could you have a look at the ftp-server itself?

In former times in Germany with 1&1 they changed the ftp data to some different than the domain name?

If you really like and trust, we could try it via private message.

But first I would check the ftp credentials carefully – if Muse can publish than some files on the server may cause some issue.

In this case I would delete everything from the ftp manually and republish.

It´s quite difficult to me to help.

Are you sure that the domain name is the same that you use from muse and IBE?

Did you try without the "/" after the address/domainname?

Are you able to have a look at the account details of the provider?

You really upload/publish with muse with the same credentials?

Did you try another browser as well? I also had an issue in former times form using Chrome first and finally had to push my client to Firefox.

If so, we would need some more professional help from Preran​ or ankushr40215001​ .

Could some of you lend some helping hand?

Anything else would need to you trust me and get me credentials by PM me. But first let´s wait for the Adobe Staff members, OK?

Trying your credentials I get this error right after filling in the domain both with ….com and ….fr:

It is quite difficult to help. So you didn‘t use Muse for publishing, although you told us to do?

Export all files (not only modified ones) with Muse‘s „Publish“ command.

Make sure, that no system fonts are used.

Test again.

How exactly(!) did you export the files?

And, by the way: You didn’t answer the question, if you checked the InBorwserEditing option in your site preferences.

You should not export a muse but publish it via Muse, that´s a big difference. Use either one of these:

or:

which leads to this:

Bildschirmfoto 2018-12-05 um 17.47.58.png

Of course with your Site-URL .

Export as html and put this html-stuff to your ftp-folder will not allow IBE to work at all, of course.

yes i made it but i just see, when i publish my website it’s on the host but not visible i ahve a 403 error

You have n right to access your site on your domain.

Seems, this is the same issue as the fact, that you can’t access it via InbrowserEditing.

This is not a Muse issue. You should contact your provider.
