Cropped Image Repositions After Selecting Browser Resize Option

I've cropped an image in a light box, but when I change the the "resize" to "stretch to browser" to define how it's treated in a browser, it goes back to the original positioning. Is there a way to avoid it going back to square one? Thanks, Kelly
