Hi everyone,

My muse file can't be opened through my flash drive and it claims that my file is damaged. Keep in mind, I never worked on any other desktop but my own mac and never deleted or moved any files to a different location. If there's anyone who can help. Please do so.

This a college course assignment.

Thanks

If you don`t have any backup elsewhere there´s not much anyone can do, I assume. Sorry

Kind Regards,

Uwe

Hi, unfortunately if you don't have a backup of the file, it's almost impossible to recover it. We are so sorry.

Did you upload your work to a remote server?  Maybe you can get the HTML, CSS and JS files from your  server and edit the code in Dreamweaver or Brackets.

… or PINEGROW, which might be easier.

With PINEGROW you could also use the published website to get the code properly. Don`t know if Dreamweaver or Brackets could do this.

But anyway the musefile cannot be restored from any of those.

No Backup no Safety, but this is already being written above.

KInd Regards,

Uwe

Dreamweaver has built-in FTP/SFTP.

How to set up connection between Dreamweaver and the publishing server

Brackets does not have built-in FTP but you can use a dedicated FTP client like Filezilla or Cyberduck to get files from the server.
