Since Sunday (dezember 28th) the add-blocker „ghostery“ classifies all websites made with muse as advertising(!). The user can see nothing but a white site or just the background (colour or pic). No Header, no menu, no footer - just nothing.
(If you switch off the add-blocker, the page can be seen again.)
I got in contact with webdesigners all over germany. Every Muse Website has the same probleme. Who has an idea, why all Muse pages suddenly are classified als advertising. What can we do?
We are a small studio and still have a few Muse Websites online. Our customers will get us into a lot of trouble. Yes, we know that Muse is EOL and we are busy creating new Websites. But that still takes time. Not every customer wants to pay for that...

As far as I know, there can nothing be done about that ad blocking issue except one knows how to obverwrite this in code properly. You may try to "convert" your site, done with muse to a site, done with pinegrow - that does a wonderful job in my experience - and upload it via pinegrow. Like this, sites, done with muse and may need a redesign/rebuild in the future stay like they are designed right now. There´s also a kind of CMS like the IBE from Muse - needs some purchase per site but think it´s worth a try. Unfortunately testing is available for seven days only, so to test it with one site should be done with some schedule to not miss any testing-expiration.
Maybe PG writes a better code and adblockers don`t see it as ads anymore?
Kind Regards,
Uwe

Hi Elke,
Uwe

Hello @elke-barbarag48042948,
Happy new year!
1. May I ask, is your ad-blocked Muse site built responsively -- in other words, 1 site for all devices?
Or did you make a separate layout for mobile phones/tablet devices which uses a redirect script that takes mobile users to the different URL?
2. Unfortunately, there's nothing you or I can do about browser settings or add-ons that people may be using. That's beyond our control.

Good to know. Very happy you got it all sorted with Ghostery.
