Select the desired text, create a character style for it with a unique name. In my example, this is textbg.

Open the page properties and paste the following code.

<style>

.textbg {

background: #ffffff;

}

</style>

Use in this code a unique style name and any color.

The result will be visible only in the browser.

What is this? A Muse widget? If yes: Which one?

If it is a 3rd party Muse widget: Why not ask the vendor?

This is an example of a blog post. I am wondering if it's possible to design the part in Muse that says  "interview: Mike O Maelly". Black font and white background.

The problem is:

I know how to fil in the background color for a single line

When a blogpost title is generated in 2 or 3 lines it is  not possible to fill the background color. Yes it is for the textbox. Not for the lines. In other texteditors its possible to highlight a text.

I found this widget: https://musesupplyco.com/collections/typography-widgets/products/text-bg-color

But unfortunaly it is not working for me!

Help me out!

What is "this", and what is "not working"? Is is really not possible, to say exactly, what you mean without forcing us to ask again and again?

The reason can be only one - you do not exactly follow the steps and somewhere you make a mistake.

This works with any web font or standard font. Must be you tried to use this with the system font. System fonts are converted after exporting to pictures. Therefore, this code can not be applied to them. System fonts should not be used at all.

Correct. Muse has no command for colouring the background of a text line. But try it this way:

  • Write the line, which should have a background colour in an extra text container. Format this container as you like and fill it with a colour.
  • Copy the complete text frame (not only the text in it).
  • Set a text cursor into you blog text frame, and paste the frame, you copied, into it just like it were text.
  • You can edit the „text within the text", recolour, resize the frame as you like.
