I just added an SSL Certificate to a website. Everything works fine except the animation on the home page won't play. The animation was made in Adobe Edge Animate.

Not working:

https://limo-dallas.com

Working:

http://limo-dallas.com

Also, it seems that Firefox won't play most of these animations made in Edge Animate. Does anybody know why?

I hope Muse doesn't someday become irrelevant and leave us designers to try to explain to customers why something that used to work just fine no longer does. Really frustrating!!!!!!!!!!

Cause you have mixed content. The page at 'https://limo-dallas.com/' was loaded over HTTPS, but requested an insecure script 'http://animate.adobe.com/runtime/6.0.0/edge.6.0.0.min.js'. This request has been blocked; the content must be served over HTTPS.

Try this solution:

1. Go to Edge Animate

2. Select 'File' -> 'Publish Settings...'

3. From 'Publish Target' select 'Animate Deployment Package' and UNCHECK 'Host runtime files on Adobe CDN' (this will exclude the line of code 'http://animate.adobe.com/runtime/6.0.0/edge.6.0.0.min.js'

4. Click 'Publish'

5. Replace your Animation (OAM) file on Muse project.

The solution offered by solve the problem with https, but does not solve the problem with Firefox. Adobe Edge Animate old program, it never had a good cross-browser and was a pilot. I recommend that you work in Adobe Animate CC (ex Flash).

I can only say one thing - you were lucky . Edge Animate's problems with different browsers ( especially with Firefox ) are of a floating nature. I was unable to identify a pattern that would fix the problem. When using Adobe Animate CC, I do not observe such problems. True, I did very little work in Adobe Animate CC, which would correctly estimate the statistics of failures.

I just want to confirm that this did fix the problem and make the animations work again in Chrome & IE.

Still no Firefox though.
