• InDesign to Muse: For tons of reasons this will never be possible. HTML has not the same feature set as InDesign has. Only one example: Muse sites are dynamic, print pages have to be fixed. Look at your InDesign-document and ask yourself: What should happen with text, if modified for screen size: Reduce text size? Expand text container vertically? If the last: What happens with elements below this container: Push down? Overlap? Delete? What happens with text wraps? HTML hasn’t the features lik

You can't. They are two completely different systems built on different underlying technologies.

Do you know if there are plans to make that possible? - It took me half a day to add a simple 40 page indesign into MUSE 😞

Something a little different.

I will make a page with a lot of articles on. Is there any limit for how long/high a page can be?

What happens to typographic modifications? You won’t find it in HTML like in InDesign. What happens to hyphenation? Most browsers don’ t support it. What happens to TIFs, EPS, placed PDFs. Browsers don’t understand this. And these examples are only a few out of thousands and thousands.

• Maximal page sizes: Obviously you have Muse. Why don’t you test by yourself, how long a page can be? One simple test, done in 5 seconds: The maximal page length is 150000 px; the max. page width is 150000 px as well. And what do we learn out of this?

It will never be possible to fully convert an ID page to HTML without loss of features even if you assumed Adobe would care to implement such a features (which they very likely never will). Many features that are common in print design simply don't work in browsers. As it is, your best option is to keep things "neutral" and develop both versions in parallel, avoiding to get locked into specific designs that can't be expressed in both media types.

I'm going to be a little controversial here.

Whilst you cannot transfer an inDesign layout into Muse, or any other web format, that would work across multiple browsers/devices. The majority of effects that one uses in inDesign can be transfered to html, css, with a lot of thought and knowledge, but with a very big IF.

The IF being that you would have to use a code editor, (Dreamweaver, or similar) and be very proficient in codeing of html5 and css, possibly with a little javascript thrown in, just to complete the basic requirements. You would also have to remember that one design is no longer enough, and one set of content, (written and media) is of no use to your site users.
