Is it possible to make Thumbnails into Slideshows?

I would like to have multiple slideshow options within one slideshow box. I was wondering if using the Slideshow or Compostition Widgets could make this possible. Ideally, I think the ability to turn thumbnails into slideshows is the solution. Is this possible? Am I making sense?

Place a composition and use the composition triggers as a thumbnail.

Into the composition targets place you slide shows. (Muse allows nesting widgets.)
