Muse Crashing When Making Gradient in Menu

I'm editing a Muse site and trying to add a gradient to a main menu's sub menu in a master page.

If I try to change anything, the software crashes with the following: StylePalette: Renderer not found for style list item.

I had previously updated to the latest version of Muse this morning (18.1.0 to 18.1.1).

Any suggestions?

Perhaps the update caused an issue?

Try this:

Solution 1: Reset Preferences

  • Close Muse.

For Windows:

  • Turn on Hidden Files & Folder in Windows Explorer.
  • Navigate to C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming
  • (Replace <user_name> with your username)
  • Look for a folder named as "com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.VERSION" and rename it to "com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.VERSION_old"

For MAC:

  • Go to Following location ~/Library/Preferences
  • Rename the following folder by adding "_old" at the end of them
  • com.adobe.AdobeMuseCC.VERSION and AdobeMuse

Now try to launch Muse.

Solution 2: Uninstall and Reinstall

Uninstall Muse from Creative Cloud desktop application.

During the process please click "Yes Remove Preferences"

Restart your computer.
