Every time I upload a new version of the site, the FTP-upload hangs Muse. Always at different percentage. What should I try?

Did you ask your hosting provider if they made any changes to your server?

Are you certain you have the correct FTP log-in credentials and you're uploading to the server's Root Folder?   Root folders vary by hosting plan.

a ftp upload that fails at the same point each time would indicate incorrect settings or corupt file however different spots tends to be network dropout

is your system using wifi, downloading something else {like Microsoft or Adobe updates}?

as for ftp clients I tend to use the Dreamweaver one instead of Filezilla because large single files can drop out with Filezilla
