Hi,
I have a site that is very slow and it seems to be looking for a web address that doesn't exist.
It's museengine.parseapp.com
Does anyone know why it's doing this and also where I can delete it/update it so that loading proceeds as it should do?
Thanks
Hi,
No, I'm not using a third party widget, the template is as it was, all I
did initially was to change the text and the images.
I have fixed the problem now, I have deleted the pre loader from the
page and also the widget that makes the images move according to the
settings, FX i believe its called.
The effects no longer happen (obviously) but all calls to the external
site that no longer exist have been removed also, so the site loads much

Am not sure what the problem could be. Will ask around.

Just to be sure, are you using any third-party widget on your site?

wrong idea, think its broken and go away.
The external calls were referencing a js script that was hosted on the
external site.

I had the same issue, due to a preloader file (loader.js). I uploaded a preloader to the site folder and edited the code after publishing, so it would use this one instead of the one hosted on museengine.parseapp.com. Not the ideal solution but it did the job.

I also had the same problem with that museengine.parseapp.com problem - it was down to this stupid preloader thing: Page Pre-Loader | Adobe Muse Widget | museGrid.com (I'm not sure why I even added it to my site). As soon as I deleted it from my site, then cleared my browsers' caches, my site loaded MUCH faster.
