Hi,
For some reason –whatever (web)font I use– apostrophes in Muse appear as icicle-looking, rather than as a more ornate comma. I use Times New Roman for my website that I made in Muse, which should be making use of comma-looking apostrophes (and shows as such in other programs like Word or InDesign) but somehow I can't get my site/Muse to display anything other than these dull icicles. How do I get my fonts (or at least the apostrophes) in Muse to just look like what they're supposed to look like?
Looking forward to a solution.
Kind regards,
The answer is quite simple: You are using the wrong keys!
You are using the character for „feet“ and „inch“ and not the character for single and double quotation marks.
Look at this:
On a German Mac Keyboard:
• Inch is Shift +
• Feet is Shift +
• Quotation mark is Alt (Shift+Alt) +
• Apostroph is Alt (Shift+Alt) +
On a Windows keyboard in your language you have to look for the correct keyboard mapping.
Or you use Muse’s Glyph panel and pick the correct glyphs from there.

No link? No screenshot? No .muse file?
Please give us a small(!) .muse file with only one text box containing these apostrophes.
Upload this small .muse file to Dropbox or a similar file sharing service and post the download link her.

Totally irrelevant for Muse, Nancy.

Indeed. Where should a muser fill in your code, Nancy?
Makes me laugh heavily.
