There is no real description about this. The only statement is the text next to the Muse entry in the App list within the CC Desktop App ("What's new?"). In short: operating system related improvements and – very important – cancelling and deinstallation of all(!) built in social media widgets (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo, …) Why? We didn't get an official answer up to now …

Hi Günter, but the widgets already installed will still work, right?

  • On published websites the widgets will continue to work.
  • If placed in an existing Muse document, the widgets will continue working.
  • But: After performing the update all(!) social media widgets will disappear from the widget library. So you can’t integrate them no more into already existing or new Muse documents.

That may(!) show a way to save these widgets (Didn’t test it):

  • Create a new document with the "old" version of Muse.
  • Drag all social widgets onto this document.
  • Save it.
  • Update Muse to the newest version.
  • Open the saved Muse document.
  • Drag every widget into your personal Muse library.

I just wanted to say that this works:

  • Create a new document with the "old" version of Muse.
  • Drag all social widgets onto this document.
  • Save it.
  • Update Muse to the newest version.
  • Open the saved Muse document.
  • Drag every widget into your personal Muse library.

Fine! And thank you for letting us know this!

Now, it would be fine, if Adobe tells us about the reasons of removing the "Social" widgets …

Hi Gunter, sorry for being late to the conversation. From what I understand, there were legal issues preventing the use of social widgets in the latest update. This is the reason why they were removed.

There's nothing new in Muse. The latest version ensures compatibility with the latest Mac OS version and a fix for an issue on Chrome.

Thank you Preran, but what is meant with the "latest version of macOS"? Mojave, which exists since a year? Catalina, which doesn't actually exist?
