My website I build through my Adobe Muse keeps crashing every time I try to "Upload to FTP".

Short answer:  Don't use Muse.  It's discontinued and no longer supported.

Export your site to HTML and use FileZilla or some other dedicated S/FTP client to upload files.  Alternatively, use Dreamweaver instead of Muse.
