Previously, only one Portfolio site was allowed per Creative Cloud plan member. But now, you can create more than one site.

Can you build three Adobe portfolio sites within one Adobe subscription and use three different external URL's to open them?

I don't see why not. Custom domains are even easier to obtain and connect to your PF sites now (powered by Namecheap).

Checked. You can activate multiple external URL's to multiple PF's. But you have to activate 'make standard site' on every new site you build so that the DNS settings of the A records (where you redirect the IP to Adobe at your provider) are activated.

Where did you see that?
AFAIK, you may only change your site URL five times.

I believe you. I just hadn't seen that notification as I currently have only 2 sites.

Is it possible to add more sites after the max of 5? Do you have to upgrade your subscription plan?

==========
No. Only 5 sites allowed per user ID. But feel free to delete Portfolio sites you no longer need and create new ones. This is useful for announcements about special events, gallery exhibitions & other time sensitive news.
Hope that helps.

Just open your ftp server with either filezilla or cyberduck or similar ftp apps and delete corresponding files, this has nothing to do with Muse - actually Muse was never really able to delete stuff from ftp - it is more a replace but never delete.
Kind Regards,
Uwe
