Is there a way for me to set up Muse to when a page is opened, that it automatically opens a pdf?  I don't want to have users open the page, then have to click a button to open the pdf.  How can I make the pdf open automatically when people go to a page?

Yes, this is possible:

  • Create a dummy page and right click onto it in plan mode
  • From the contextual menu choose the command "Menu Options/Include Page without Hyperlink".
  • Now add a menu widget.
  • If you click onto the menu entry of your dummy page in the menu widget, the "Hyperlinks" flyout menu in the upper control strip becomes visible.
  • Open this menu and choose "Files/Link to File"
  • Done.
