Slideshow from Image

Hello all,

Muse newbie here... I am having trouble figuring out how I can begin a lightbox slideshow from clicking on a single image.  I am building my portfolio website and would like one picture of my artwork to be the trigger that opens a lightbox style slideshow with other images of the corresponding work.

I would like to keep everything on the same page (as opposed to linking the image to go to a new page devoted to just images).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

This is possible with the composition lightbox indeed. The trigger of the lightbox compo is your green button. You put the normal slide show into the target of the composition. I unchecked thumbs in my Screenshot, you may check it.

Simply choose the slideshow widget from the widget panel and choose the option lightbox instead of other possibilities.

But then ALL photo thumbnails are visible.  Is there a way to make one image the "cover photo" for a multi-image slideshow?

Or, what if I have created an image that I don't want to appear in the slideshow, but just serve as the "button" to open the slideshow?  Is this possible?

First answer was a wrong turn, sorry.

You may use a lightbox composition, put your slideshow into the target of that composition but set your slideshow into a normal slideshow without thumbnails.

You may have to take care for the color and position of the prev and next buttons if you want them to appear anyway.

I think we're talking about different things.. My apologies for the misunderstanding..

In theory, I would like the my cover photo (green) to be the only thing visible before opening the lightbox. However, I don't want the cover photo to be in the slideshow. I only want thumbnails 1-3 to be in the slideshow.  Is there a way to make the cover photo a trigger to open a slideshow it's not in?
