Slow page load even after image optimization?

I'm finishing up a Muse site, but for some reason it always hangs up during the page load for a solid ~5 seconds or so.

The site is live here but it's also not much better on Business Catalyst.

For some reason when the page loads, it starts and cancels a whole bunch of .js requests:

Any idea what's going on here?

Some widgets are not worth producing, because their code is too huge and heavy for the Muse. However, manufacturers are more concerned about their profits and create spectacular but not usable widgets. The array of js code in the widget on your site is colossal. This is the reason for its long loading. You can not do anything to fix it. You can put up or throw out this widget and remake the site using only standard tools.

Your site loads quite fast. No waiting.

May I ask how you approached this sideways scrolling possibility?

Is it a 3rd party widget or template?

This could be the reason why it loads kind of slowly on your side.

This may differ from wifi to wifi from location to location.

Best Regards,

Uwe

Uwe,

All of the scrolling is done using a widget from QooQee called PageSlider. However I don't think it's necessarily worth the hefty pricetag, and their support has been all but nonexistent. You can get similar results from MuseForYou and MuseFree with much better support for a fraction of the cost (even if you have to do a little more of the heavy lifting yourself).

Hi Pavel Homeriki, is this sideways scroll ability causing this js code array?

Thanks

Hot damn that's a lot. Bummer.

Not sure it's worth the rebuild, but it does seem to load a bit faster today (probably now that I've cleared the cache).

Thanks!
