Hi there. I'd very much like to try out Muse (I'm a paying Creative Cloud member), but I'm about to say to hell with it. Muse refuses to install. Here are the steps taken.
Ran the Muse installer throughApplication Manager. Installed. Clicked Launch App. No response. Search for muse, only found uninstaller. Uninstalled 99mb of invisible Muse.
Read forums. Deleted opm.db. Re-installed. No change in result.
Uninstalled Air. Re-installed Air. Re-installed Muse. No change in result.
I grabbed the system log which show an error with the "migration signature validation"
Any help would be appreciated.
Here are details:

Hi Everyone,
To anyone who is having install problems on Mac, please follow these steps:
1) Ensure that Muse is completely uninstalled: drag Adobe Muse from the Applications folder to the trash and empty the trash.
2) Download Muse from the following link: http://adobe.com/go/muse_latest_mac
3) Install
Please note that this build won't work if Muse is already installed; you must uninstall previous versions of Muse first.
Thanks,
Colby

Any resolution yet? I would really like to use MUSE, but I'm getting the same damaged installer errors the other posters have been talking about.

Hey Colby,
Worked like a charm for me! As above (#4760665), nothing happened previously, but this time I saw the AIR installer prompt and went through the install/setup all the way to being able to create a new site and preview things.
Thanks!

Worked for me... still got the error using AAM but the DD worked perfectly.
Thanks for a speedy response - if not speedy enough for all. Don't understand how this was allowed to happen.

The console.log showed the installer saw the copy in my backup clone hard drive and even after deleting that copy too, it came up with the error. So I unmounted the volume and then it finally installed. Hope this helps someone else.

Hello.
I also had trouble installing Muse. Going through the AAM resulted into the unregistered link (lauch is doing nothing). And Muse did show up nowhere on my Mac (MacBook Pro on Mountain Lion latest).
As described here, I did the whole reinstall, delete everything, uninstall Air and Muse, and try the stand alone installer as mentione above.
The installer resulted into the error message, that It cannot install.
So - after removing all files again, I went through the AAM again and hit 'Install Muse'
The file downloaded and when it started installing, the Adobe Muse CCM folder briefly showed up on my desktop.
I hijacked that folder and copied it quickly before it disappeared again.
The AAM installation was again invisible and did not launch.
But the captured CCM folder also holds the Muse installer. I clicked that and the installer ran. Suddenly it showed up in my applications. It told me Air was already installed - so that's good.
And there you go - suddenly Muse launched and so far it works fine. It also shows up as installed in the AAM. And hopefully will stay in my applications folder.
hope that helps,
Stefan.

Stefan,
Just tried what worked for you. When I run the installer in the CCM folder I still get the Error# 3000 message. Still no luck.

Kathalvo,
Can you please follow these instructions:
1) Open up Console (do a spotlight search, CMD+Space, for "Console")
2) Select "system.log" under Files on the left
3) Type "Adobe AIR" in the upper right
4) Copy/Paste the contents of the window into a blank text file, save the text file.
5) Send this text file to muse-support@adobe.com, along with a link to this thread.
Thanks,
Colby

Hi Colby.
I also got your message for the log file.
I couldn't find anything looking for Adobe AIR or Muse in there. Problem might be – I also had serious trouble launching Distiller from the Cloud download, which I had to redo 2 times, and at some point during the installation, I ran Maintain's Cocktail to clear caches and clean permissions. Unfortunately it was also set to delete crash logs. Not very useful, I know.
Sorry about that.
Stefan.

Colby,
Console crashes immediately so I cannot follow the instructions. So instead I sent the crash log text to muse-support@adobe.com in case that helps at all...
Thanks,
Robert

seems the installer was a bit flaky. I think there is just a new version been released. hopefully that does the trick?

This is not a Muse problem so much as a OS X 10.8 problem. Go to System Preferences - Security and change the setting to allow installs from everywhere. You will need an administrator's password.

Hi,
This is OS X 10.6.8 This setting you suggested isn't listed as an option in
Security, but I've never had trouble with installations before...

Just thought I'd add some feedback. I downloaded the new version 2.3 installer, deleted the old Muse and it installed just fine but also I got a Adobe AIR 3.5 update after Muse started.
