I think, nobody will be able to help, as long as you don’t tell us, which „serious problems“ you are facing.

And: It is not clear, if you use FileZilla of Muse’s „Publish“ command. Both should work. If not, you have a credential issue.

Are you saying that your new web hosting provider requires you to transfer files with advanced SSL/TLS encryption or possibly SFTP with private key files?  Either way, Filezilla is a very good choice.
