At the moment Adobe Muse only offers Paypal as the sole payment processing option. Paypal is not competitive. In the UK it charges 3.4% per transaction against for example Stripe's 1.4%. Does Muse have plans to offer more choice and if not, can you suggest an alternative design platform that does? (answer optional...!)

Not really sure what's meant by 'payment processing option'. Sorry.
Let's assume it's the PayPal widget from within the Social Tab in the Widget Library.
Stripe, as well as most other payment portals have their own widgets and sample code available on their web sites.

Thanks Neox99 for your response. The following is a forum reply given by a Staff member at Muse in August 2014:
You cannot integrate the payment gateway itself into Muse as Muse only allows you to add html content via object menu.
But you would need to configure this payment gateway on the hosting end wherever you are uploading the site.
So if you have already configured the shopping then you can setup the payment gateway information in third party shop which you are using in your site.
Have a look on this which would help you :

There is of course a subscription cost attached to 3rd Party shop options.
My question to Adobe Muse is, has anything changed since Aug 2014. Are there any plans to curtail the exclusivity which appears to have been given to Paypal on the Muse platform? Are there plans to include widgets for Stripe and other payment gateways? Muse is a great platform and easy to use, but doesn't appear to have advanced in terms of its competitiveness as a commerce platform. I would be delighted to find that I've missed something.

I offered an 'alternate plan' as you requested.
Seems you are more interested in knowing when, if ever, Adobe will design Muse to your wishes.
Please put in a Feature Request. Adobe employees do not read these posts so they have no way of knowing you'd like a new feature unless you request it though the correct channels.
