Why is adobe muse being so slow?

Why is adobe muse so unbearably slow? It takes up to to 8 seconds just to select a font. Is there a way to make it faster, or will it invariably be slower the bigger your project gets?

adobe really should be a lot more transparent about this before someone invests heaps of time into using it

yes it does... there are some tricks but that is the basic result of making a bigger site
