Hi,

I am thinking of migrating my website to https.  I am using Adobe Muse hosted on Business Catalyst.  I can find directions for setting up https on Business Catalyst here: http://docs.worldsecuresystems.com/user-manual/site-settings/site-domains/adding-ssl-certificate-to-...

However, this set of directions and other directions I have found for setting up https assume you have access to the code of your website.  Muse does not provide much access to the underlying code.  Without access to code, how can I fix things that might break with https?  Has anybody successfully set up the Muse/BC combination with https?  Can anyone point me to more info on this problem?  I have found very little info on this type of setup, which tells me not many people have successfully (or unsuccessfully) done it.  Any help will be appreciated. Hi Zaffer,

Whenever you create a site from Muse and publish to Business Catalyst , the BC servers create two links automatically

  1. http://www.abc.businesscatalyst.com
  2. https://www.abc.worldsecuresystems.com

That means you already have you site configured with SSL security level (which is asked by many of online credit card processors ).

Also to know more on how to make you domain ssl secured I will suggest you to get in touch with Business Catalyst support directly

Go to you admin panel by simply typing http://www.yourdomainname.com/admin , you will see BC admin panel here , login to that panel , on the top right cornet you will find help and support , click on that and click chat support and you will then be connecte to one of the Business Catalyst  support engineers.

Hope this is useful!

Thanks

Hi Prabhakar,

Thanks for answering my question.  I hope you can answer another:  Starting in October, Google's Chrome browser will display a message "Not Secure" in the address bar when users interact with an unencrypted webpage (see quote below from Forbes Magazine).  Is the SSL that comes with worldsecuresystems.com enough to prevent the Google Chrome warning message, or do I need to also buy and install a security certificate?  Thanks.

Barbara

Forbes Magazine:  https://www.forbes.com/sites/kevinmurnane/2017/08/22/chrome-will-soon-warn-you-about-unsecure-websit...

"The internet would be a safer place if all website traffic was encrypted and Google is trying to pressure companies into encrypting their websites with the HTTPS protocol by warning users about unencrypted sites. Beginning in October, Google’s Chrome browser will display the message “Not Secure” in the address bar when users interact with an unencrypted webpage."
