Bug in Parametric filters

Enthusiast ,
Oct 29, 2025 Oct 29, 2025

I select a layer and click on one of the Parametric filters. Regardless of whether the layer is a Smart layer or not, it creates a new layer and applies the filter. The problem is that the layer it creates is empty. If I drag the smart Filter to a new layer, everything on that layer disappears, but the information on the layer that previosly had the filter applied reappears. I have included screen captures of the filter applied to the top layer showing no content, and then another after I dragged the filter to the lower layer. You can see the content disapears on whichever layer the filter is applied.

I just noticed that if I turn the filter off - desect the "eye" next to it - the objects in the layer re-appear

Version: 27.1.0 Beta

Windows 11 Enterprise 10.0.26200 Build 26200

I have attached the Photoshop file

Hi @brian704 to make sure we understand, are you trying to apply the filter to a smart layer? Does the workflow work if you rasterize the layer?

Thanks,
