Frequent attemps of opening up PS required

Hello

I am quite frequently frustrated that I have to open PS 2 times of not 3 times.

Task manager tells me NOT RESPONDING. Then I often wait for rather a long time. Occasionally it may respond then, more often not. End task and try again.

This does not happen with standard Photoshop.

Anything one can do?

Try resetting Prefs for the Beta:

/Users/yoourname/Library/Preferences/Adobe\ Photoshop\ \(Beta\)\ Settings 

Launch BETA Photoshop While Pressing The Keyboard Shortcut

With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thanks for the info @joziG. It might be that you do not have enough RAM to run Ps effectivly... please review the system requiremenents and see if you system is up to specs.

Dear Cory

I am aware that my PC is, very sadly, not meeting some of the requirements.

Even more sadly, I am caught between a rock and a hard place.

Basically, I would need a new PC to meet all the requirements. However, I simply don't have the means to acquire a new PC. Upgrading is not an option. Being a pensioner can be rather tough.

So I would surmise, that rather soon, I shall not be able to use my ACC apps at all.

That's a devastating thought.

I have used Photoshop from the very early years. When it became necessary to join ACC, I did. These days, I cannot really afford ACC any longer. But I am a keen graphic designer and photographer and, I feel, I cannot give up all my pleasures.  I am also using Adobe Illustrator and InDesign frequently. Acrobat and Bridge as well. Bridge is free, of course.

I had calculated that it is more expensive to get PS, AI and ID separately, as it would cost me more than my current Full ACC subs. But then, it is no good anyway, as my PC doesn't meet these and future requirements.

It's difficult to see a solution to this conundrum. I am sorry to burden You with my lament. Guess I just had to get it off my chest.
