P: Photoshop Beta & v26.1 on Windows - Launch Error: dxcore.dll

Explorer ,

Today after the update I encountered that my Photoshop won't open due to this error: “(Photoshop beta.exe) Failed to continue code execution because the system did not detect dxcore.dll. To fix this error, try reinstalling the application.”
---

I have reinstalled several times already, but it didn't help me in any way. I also searched for solutions, but found nothing useful 😞
Since I urgently need the program for work, I wanted to install at least the previous version, but from what I understand, it is not possible to do so
---

Does anyone know how to fix it or how to install the previous version?

This dxcore.dll dependency doesn't work on older operating systems that are outside Ps system requirements. The system info that was shared in this thread is from 2018, 4 years earlier than our min support version from Oct 2022. That explains why we didn't catch the problem before we released our last update.

While we have implemented a workaround in the Beta that appears to work for older systems, are watiing for the full testing cycle to complete to move that over to the regular release. For

So I have restored from our backup Photoshop  v25.11.0 from inside "Program Files" and BAM it works. So this is isolated to v26.1.

Hello

Since the Photoshop update 26.1 I also have the problem with the dxcore.dll that apparently some other users also have. Photoshop has not started since then. I have already uninstalled Photoshop and the entire Creative Cloud client.

Unfortunately, I can't seem to install any previous version. We are working on a Windows 10 LTSC version 1809 and apparently the Creative Cloud Client for this Windows version is limited to 5.5. In this client version there is no option to install previous versions.
Is there any way that I can install an older version of Photoshop?

I am grateful for any help.

@andrép38602030 you'll need to contact Adobe support to see if they will provide you with links to install older versions
Type agent in the chatbot to speak to a real person

You will need to be on a browser that allows pop-ups and cookies, or the icon won't show.

A better option would be to update Windows 10 to the current version

我今天更新Photoshop更新完後,無法執行

(Photoshop.exe - 系統錯誤 程式執行無法繼續,因為找不到dxcore.dll。重新安裝程式或許可以修正此問題。)

嘗試針對DirectX的重新安裝、Photoshop重新安裝,都無法解決。

是否有解決問題的方法,或安裝舊版本的方法?

After updating Photoshop today, I am unable to launch it.
(Photoshop.exe - System Error: The program cannot start because dxcore.dll is missing. Reinstalling the program may fix this issue.)
I have tried reinstalling both DirectX and Photoshop, but the issue persists.
Is there a solution to this problem, or a way to install an older version of Photoshop?

After I got an update of PS today its not working anymore. I'm getting  Launch Error: dxcore.dll is missing

Is there any solution for this problem? Seems like you knew about this problem from beginning on Nowember (based on forum dicussions) and did nothing.  Fix it already.  I need photoshop asap for work. Or maybe you can compensate me this damage.
