Hello everyone, after I use Generative Fill, my PS crashes whenever I select another layer or use any other tool really, such as the type tool.
I tried all the options in the Adobe support page '' Troubleshoot crash or freeze in Photoshop '' but with no luck.
It is worth noting that I don't crash or have any issues in my regular use of Photoshop, the crashes only happen after using Generative Fill.
Currently running the latest version of Photoshop, latest Windows 10 version.

I experienced the same issue, and tried several scenarios (images, resolutions, selection formats, color spaces, etc).
The conclusion was that it only crashed if I left the description blank.
But yeah we want to get the fill effect it is being so used for, so I just typed “fill” (without the “”) and got pretty good results without crashing.

I've tried it, in this way it will not crash anymore but the results are not comparable with leaving it blank, we hope to get a fix anytime soon.

I Just tried, instead of writing "fill" just type "." in this way you will have the exact same results as leaving it empty.

Using "." on text prompt worked for me.

You can use Alt+0160 (" ") to better results than a "." It worked to remove objetcts.

Hi all! Download the latest beta and see if this solves this. You may have to uninstall the beta first to see the new version available.
Adobe Photoshop Version: 24.6.0 20230603.m.2196 77b00e0 x64

You need to type something in the prompt text box. Because if you generate with inputting any text, the App will Crash. If you want to fill with your current background just type in the box "Fill Background".

I'm not seeing any submitted crash reports from you in our system. If you haven't done so already, please submit all Crash Reports along with your email address: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/submit-crash-reports.html That will help us diagnose the crash.
It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

I don't get any crashreport.
the progressbar of the generative fill gets stuck on the last 10%,
then the whole system is slowing down, photoshop isn't responding.
then waiting for another 5 seconds, and PS is disappearing.
No crashreport. When reopening, PS starts with the recovery file.
Last PS Version never Crashed on anything.
