In PS Beta the fx-Color Overlay does not work sometimes. If you have a layer and want to add a color overlay it does not take affect. Sometimes it does if you exit the beta version and run again. Sometimes it does not work the second time loading. I have to open the released version of PS to perform this function.

With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.

I did the Re-set on my Mac that you suggested. It seems to be working now.
Thank you.

I'm having the same issue in the released version of PS 2024.
I create a new layer and want a colour overlay and nothing shows.
