Default typeface

I set the default typeface to copperplate but new type layer always reverts to Myriad.

Hi @justineW curious if you created a new horizontal type face setting as copperplate and if that isn't working for you?

Yes, I am using copperplate medium, color white, 8pt, centered as the default. The size is the problem; it is never 8 pt and it is s different size every time.
