Design destroyed by garbage fragments all over the canvas

I'm absoluely devastated. I worked for weeks on a D&D map in an older PS and a solid week in the Beta, and it just got comprehensively destoryed by the software. Dozens of weird rectangular fragments are peppered across the canvas, on the working layer and on the backup layer. The backup!!! Attachment shows some detail from the larger canvas.

Just a brutal, brutal loss of work. Probably the most digital work I've ever lost. This bug is so bad I've gone from delighted in the new PS to horrified and sickened by it. Nobody should do work they value in the beta, and there needs to be some kind of HIGH-PROFILE WARNING ABOUT THIS DEVASTATING BUG.

Let me know if you need info to address the bug.

All the best,

Jeff

Arg, so sorry to hear about that Jeff. Do you have the PSD file that you could share with me? I can see if anything could be done here.

@Flumper so sorry to hear this. Did you have any versions you could revert to, either locally or on the cloud?  Where did you see this happen, when you opened the file in Ps beta? We are trying to understand where this might have happened in your workflow.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
