Damn!!! I switched to Beta to escape it!!! I don't like it, I don't want it!! Idoesen't do what I've ALWAYS expected Photoshop do. I choose classic gradient do a color blend, but when I want to adjust the color by blending a darker color NOTHING happens!!! How can I go back to what has always worked for me?!!!

@what now toons beta will always be the latest version with updates and changes to processes so "switching" to beta is counterintuitive.
You can still install Photoshop 2023 via the Creative Cloud desktop app and turn off auto updates to prevent further upgrades from happening without your consent.

Generative Fill has been in Beta since 22 May 2023
To go back to "what you are used to", uninstall the public Beta, which is for catching and reporting bugs, then use an earlier version of the released version of Photoshop that doesn't have Generative Fill. Turn off automatic updates for applications in the CC app. Turn off automatic updates for your OS and only update when you confirm the update works with the PS version you have locked into. Don't update your hardware, which might break your locked system. Be very careful when your OS and apps reach EOL and stop getting security updates.
This will work for a year or two or three, but will it work for ten or fifteen? Your other choices are to not use GF or to settle in with parts of it.
