generative workspace disregarding color theme

Is Generative Workspace currently stuck with disregarding the Preferences setting for Color Themes?

Dang, I should have posted screenshots right away … 

I use a light Color Theme but the Generative Workspace uses a dark background. 

As I work mainly for print the dark Color Themes have always been wrong for me, so I would prefer to avoid dark backgrounds in Photoshop interfaces altogether. (edited)
