Generative Workspace in Photoshop Beta

Last week I was able to use the generative workspace in photoshop but at the moment I am unable to open it - it just won't load.  I have tried opening it on both my laptop and my desktop and in more than one place - I wonder if anyone has experienced the same problem

gererative workspace doesnt load for me eith the little wheel spins then nothing just seats there spinning i used it 1 time now it doesnt load

I've the same problem. I tried to sign out of my Creative Cloud App. Uninstall Photoshop beta, resinstall it. But, it still won't work. Just keep loading and loading.

Apologies you're hitting this issue, and thanks so much for taking time to share feedback. Our team is looking into fixing this bug in the beta now.

Two things: 1) Could you please help us with a troubleshooting step and report back? and 2) We also have a workaround in you can use to keep using Generative Workspace in the meantime.

 

We'd appreciate if you could please help us track down the issue by taking the following steps:

  1. Close Photoshop Beta.
  2. Go to Creative Cloud Desktop --> Apps --> Installed apps and update Photoshop Beta to the latest version.
  3. Open Photoshop Beta and open Generative Workspace to see if the loading issue is resolved.
  4.  Please report here whether updating Photoshop Beta fixed the problem.

 

If updating Photoshop Beta does not work, you can keep using Generative Workpace by doing the following:

  1. Open Generative Workspace in Photoshop Beta.
  2. Go to the Settings "Gear" icon in the top right corner of the Generative Workspace window and select "Reset preferences" at the bottom
  3. Close and reopen Generative Workspace. It should load correctly now, and you should no longer see the loading spinner.

 

Please let us know how this workaround works for you, and if you have any further questions/feedback.

Hi - thanks for your reply - I have done as you asked - updated to the latest beta version of photoshop this morning and opened the generative workspace - still the spinning wheel.  I tried to click on the gear icon but this does not open.  None of the icons across the top of the workspace open.  Since my first enquiry regarding this I have been through all of the firewall settings etc. on my computer with the adobe help team in India twice and they could not find any problem that could be causing this.  Can you think of anything else that I could try ?  Cheers Judy

Hi @judy24537803npzg , sincere apologies you're still encountering an issue with the Generative Workspace beta.

 

Unfortunately there may be a problem with your Generative Workspace asset catalog. To resolve this, we could try to reset this asset catalog. This would delete all assets you've previously created in Generative Workspace to  allow you to use it again. This process would delete only assets created in Generative Workspace beta and would NOT affect your other files/PSDs/etc saved to Creative Cloud or elsewhere.

 

If you'd like to proceed with clearing/resetting your Generative Workspace asset catalog, please send an email to me to my first name (Tom) at adobe.com including the email address you use for your Creative Cloud account that you're using Generative Workspace beta with. And let us know you'd like to proceed with clearing your Generative Workspace asset catalog, which we can then do from our side. Thank you. --Tom

Tom, nothing seems to work. I've tried all the work arounds... nothing. And, there is no gear icon to click. All I see when I move the mouse, is a hand icon that will do nothing but move around the workspace. I recently updated the beta version. Still the same problem. Seems to have started after an update weeks ago.

@JvPhotoworks  and @DRLing are you still unable to use GW?  Please share both screenshots of what you are seeing as well as your sysinfo... Launch Photoshop beta, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
