Grid keeps showing up on my images

Every time I open an image in the last few days, it opens with a grid. So I have to uncheck view- extras to get rid of it. I am sure it is probably some box I checked by accident to make this happen. I looked in my preferences and did not see anything that stands out. Any ideas?

Does this tie in with anything like an update?
Is it only happening with the beta version?

Can you turn it off with the ' shortcut?

To be honest I am not sure if it is related to an update. I mean I can very easily get rid of the grid by unchecking view extras. And no pressing ' does not work. It is just annoying. It only happens in beta.

LOL!  I expect we have all done things like that.  It's 'maybe' not as obvious as the Caps Lock 'where's my cursor gone?' gotcha, and even Bert Monroy sometimes finds things getting weird in his videos (it's usually something on the Options Bar), so no shame in in what happened to you.
