First, disclaimer: I'm completely aware that Photoshop Beta is just that, a Beta. However, for those of us that use Lightroom as our primary editor and then go to PS from there, Adobe has now screwed us and completely broken the use of GenerateAI. This is very frustrating!
WHEN WILL THIS BE FIXED?!!!
First, when updating to PS v.25.0, then files do not open "easily" from LR (v.12.4). It initially appears not to even open the file, then after an extremely long delay, gives error messages but will finally open the image. The delay is so long that it makes this essentially unusable. The fix, backlevel PS to v.24.7.
Now however, Adobe as disabled Generative Fill unless you are at v.25.0. So that now puts this new AI function out of feasible usability from Lightroom. WHY would they disable it from v.24.7 without first fixing the problem opening v.25.0???!!!!!! Very frustrating!!!!!!
I did see one post that suggested if you backlevel LR, then PS v.25.0 will work. Who wants to do that?
